So much angst and drama. Clay thinks he’s in the clear now the Nova went back east but he gets a real surprise when he finds her painting a wall at the stadium. Nova is surprised that the team owner has asked her to create a mural for the team for the gala event. She is excited about the challenge but also nervous about staying away from Clay. He broke her heart when she thought they had found something spectacular. I love Nova’s conviction as she juggles her encounters with Clay. Clay is struggling since he can’t get Nova out of his head. At the same time, he needs to find a way to build up the team which he’s never done before. His focus has always been just on himself and his game. I am enjoying his journey as he opens up to love, it’s getting him to change other things in his life. Yet, he still has a deal with Harlan to get traded to LA. Or has his priorities changed? I’m loving this journey with all the ups and downs that many people face as they navigate careers and love. We end with another big decision that may ruin everything. Bring on part 3. Nova and Clay meet by chance on a plane. He’s headed back to his job as a basketball player with a team he doesn’t want to play for and she’s going to visit her sister and help with final wedding plans. But for Nova, she is extremely afraid of flying which has her engaging her seatmate to help occupy her mind. Clay wants to be left alone but something about this vibrant woman with the pink hair pulls him in and he finds himself helping her through the flight and he expects to never see her again. So when she shows up at the stadium, he is surprised but also intrigued since he’s hasn’t stopping thinking about her. Nova had no idea Clay played basketball and was even more surprised to learn her future brother-in-law is his general manager. She can’t stop thinking about how he helped her so she orchestrates getting to see him. These two begin an unlikely friendship as they find a person they can be real and open with. Clay’s life is all about basketball and he’s avoided relationships after getting his heart broken in college. Nova’s life is in limbo after her fiancé left her and work put her on leave. Where is she headed after her sister’s wedding? I enjoyed this couple and love all the layers to their personalities that they keep discovering. As resistant as Clay is, he can’t stay away and finds a support in Nova he didn’t know he needed while she does the same. Just when I think we are headed down a wonderful path, life throws a curve ball and pushes them apart. Now, I wait for part 2 to see where their journey’s lead them and if they can find a path that brings them back together. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Annie and Tyler took me on an intense, passionate and heart-pounding journey. Annie and Tyler need to be together, this is what I want as a reader. But I know that if it just happened, it wouldn’t be compelling for me to read and thoroughly enjoy. This romance was 3 books but I love having everything in one book and the added epilogue is wonderful. This couple met in New York as teenagers and became best friends but life is never easy or simple which ends up separating them. The beauty of this journey is experiencing two amazing people as they strive to find their true selves without losing sight of what’s really important. Of course, this road is never easy so will they find a path that allows them to travel it together? My heart was in my throat most of this journey. I wasn’t sure what to expect and whether they would find a way to be together. I truly couldn’t put it down. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Kat and Daniel appear to be an unlikely duo but as we got to know them both, we find two souls in search of love and family. For Daniel, life revolves around his on Andy but he is also working to obtain tenure at the college to provide that stable home for his son. Kat has found herself with an empty home as her roommates find love and move out which leaves her a bit lost. When the opportunity presents itself for her to move in with Daniel and Andy to be the nanny, well, it’s an offer she can’t refuse. The chemistry between Kat and Daniel is fun and electric which has a slow burn as both of them are hesitant to take a chance on love. I loved Kat’s fearless and spunky personality and how it helped Daniel find ways to loosen up and realize he doesn’t always have to be the perfect dad, he can just be dad. So happy with the conclusion to Olivia and Sawyer’s love saga. We jump in with the shocking news that Olivia has been expelled. But the bigger hurt comes when Sawyer doesn’t defend her. She returns to her parents’ home, hurt and alone, not sure what she will do next. What Olivia doesn’t know is that Sawyer is working to get her back into Russell. As Olivia is working to find her next steps, her family is imploding as they have to downsize their home due to her father’s financial missteps. When Theresa, the dance studio owner, offers her more classes to teach, she grabs it as a lifeline to get away from her parent’s battles while also letting her passion for dance give her hope. This puts her back in Sawyer’s orbit, will she take another chance on him? So much to love about this journey and I’m glad I got to take the ride.
