What a fun couple. Gavin is the growly protector while Minnie is the beautiful songbird who feels unworthy. From their first meeting they have a natural spark and Minnie doesn’t hesitate to push Gavin’s buttons. When a fan of Minnie’s continues to taunt her, Gavin becomes her full-time security which has them spending several weeks alone at a safe house. As they get to know each other, Minnie opens up to Gavin about her fears which he works to help her conquer. But as Gavin falls for Minnie, he is carrying some baggage that makes him feel unworthy of her love. As they work to unravel the mystery of Minnie’s stalker fan, will they allow themselves to embrace love? I also enjoyed that we get to interact with Minnie and Gavin’s families along the way which shows the true community that they have supporting them. This let’s me revisit past characters and learn more about their lives and how they interconnect with everyone else. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

What an unexpected and wonderful romance. Autumn and Lukas find themselves married because of a family promise. The plan is to fulfill the promise for Autumn’s grandfather and then have an annulment. Well, 5 years have passed and suddenly Autumn is called to Lukas’ bedside after he’s been shot. Even though they haven’t lived together as husband and wife, they had been exchanging emails and building a solid friendship. Now they find themselves sharing a suite as Lukas recuperates. Will they realize that love is possible? Lukas is very hesitant to allow love in his life since everyone he’s loved has left him. Autumn is trying to show her family she can take over the family business. I really loved how they had built a solid friendship as pen pals which they were able to build on as they navigate their new situation with Autumn’s family. Lukas is a fabulous supporter for Autumn without being overbearing. I enjoyed all the nuances to their journey. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Zach sees himself as broken and flawed, believing no one could love him for how he copes with his childhood trauma. The one thing he knows for sure, he never wants to have children and pass on his issues to someone else. Then one day he meets Ray, a boy who looks very similar to himself which captivates him. This leads to meeting Hope, Ray’s mother, a single mother doing everything she can to provide a good life for Ray. But Zach fears she won’t be able to and Ray could end up in foster care so he begins inserting himself into their lives. Hope really doesn’t understand why Zach is suddenly at their home almost every day. She doesn’t appreciate his over-the-top, prince like behaviors. But the more time Zach and Hope spend together, she gets to know the true man behind the persona. When Zach offers to marry Hope and provide her with all the firsts she missed as a teen mom, well, this to me, was a very unconventional relationship. The stipulation by Zach is no emotions will be involved, he is too afraid. Of course, what the heart wants, we really can’t deny. When Hope realizes she has fallen for Zach, will that ruin this new life that connects all three of them? Ray is a beautiful light and something Zach needed in his world to help him see what he was missing and what was truly possible. I enjoyed the slow burn of this romance. Her passion is design and she needs to know she can do this on her own. But venturing out into the world after growing up with money, she finds that there is a lot to learn. Her brother Oscar wants her to try but also wants to protect her so he arranges for her to rent a loft from his friend Keith. Keith is buried in grief after the loss of his wife. His daughter Mere is pulling away from him but he doesn’t understand why. When Clem walks into their house, it’s a breath of fresh air that scares Keith. As Clem works to learn the ways of the world, she finds herself falling in love with Keith and Mere. The challenge is, can Keith let go of the ghost of his first love to embrace a new love and future. For all the day to day things Clem doesn’t know, she is amazing with people and the bond she builds with Mere is beautiful. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way as Clem and Keith have to both fight for the future that they want.
