Josie and Jacob gave me a great enemies-to-lovers romance. For Josie, being a single mother has shown her that she is strong and can handle any challenge thrown her way. When her aunt leaves her the horse rescue that she created, which gives Josie the chance to reignite her passion for horses. Jacob is the local veterinarian and is skeptical that Josie will be able to handle running the rescue while always working full-time and being a mom. These two didn’t make it easy even though their love of animals gave them a wonderful connection, Jacob kept saying or doing the wrong thing which would frustrate Josie. Will these two wake up and realize that together is always better? Josie’s daughter, Everly, is a fabulous support for her mom with her excitement for the horses and rescue. Wonderful second chance romance. Aurora and Nick met while he was on vacation and shared an incredible night. For Aurora, she ended up pregnant but so many amazing things have happened in her life, the biggest being accepted into the Kingston family. Nick is the fixer for his families’ hotels so he lives his life from hotel to hotel as his job takes him everywhere. Being at his brother’s movie premiere, he is surprised to see Aurora across the room. As they work on how Nick will fit into their daughter Leah’s life, they know the spark they initially had still exists. Declan is the fixer in the Maxwell family which he carries into his career as an attorney. Sadly, he deals with too many divorces which has him cynical that long-term relationships are possible. He bought an amazing house but it has one flaw, the sexy tenant, Liz, who likes to dance in the middle of the night. Liz is focused on her dream to open her own bakery which has her working multiple jobs to earn enough money to make it happen. When she gets home late from bartending, she uses dancing to unwind but she never knew this could rile up her broody landlord. This relationship has a very rocky start yet there is chemistry that both try to fight. I love how this couple gets to know each other and learn that they may not be as different as they thought. Both are driven and confident with a strong focus on their families. I loved all the twists and turns along the way as well as getting to spend more time with the other Maxwell family members to check-in on how their lives are moving forward. Wow. Hadleigh, Knox and Kane delivered all the sexiness. For Hadleigh, winning Knox at the bachelor auction allows her to be bold and show Knox how she really feels about him. What she doesn’t expect is for Kane to show up after their date and profess his love. Knox seems to avoid feelings and relationships but when Hadleigh kissed him, well, he felt sparks. But Knox knows that Kane loves Hadleigh so he attempts to push her away. The big challenge is that it’s really Hadleigh’s decision but who will she choose? Axel learned fast that the band was a tight-knit bunch, all living in Dash’s home. Until a baby scare with a groupie put Dash in need of a fake girlfriend to fix his reputation, and Axel’s sister, Cassidy, had played the role.

Now Cassidy and Dash were married, having wed in front of family and friends this past winter. Axel had rented a house nearby, as had Jagger, the guitar player, and Mac, the bassist. But Axel and the guys spent more time at Dash’s home studio or here at Xander’s than at their own places.

Xander complained about the fact that the band had followed Dash’s lead, making his house their home away from home, but nobody believed Xander really considered them unwanted company. And Sasha, the famous actress Xander had married this past spring, welcomed them, as long as they knocked first.

Given the Kingston family’s dysfunctional background, courtesy of their now deceased father, the fact that four of the five siblings were settled and happy gave a guy like Axel hope that he’d meet the right woman. He was sick of the rock-star lifestyle, the parties after the shows, the groupies, and the drinking. At thirty years old, he wanted a partner for life.
