To Sir, With Love by Lauren Layne is now live!
Perpetually cheerful and eager to please, Gracie Cooper strives to make the best out of every situation. So when her father dies just five months after a lung cancer diagnosis, she sets aside her dreams of pursuing her passion for art to take over his Midtown Manhattan champagne shop. She soon finds out that the store's profit margins are being squeezed perilously tight, and complicating matters further, a giant corporation headed by the impossibly handsome, but irritatingly arrogant Sebastian Andrews is proposing a buyout to turn the store into a parking garage.
But Gracie can't bear the thought of throwing away her father's dream like she did her own. Overwhelmed and not wanting to admit to her friends or family that she's having second thoughts about the shop, Gracie seeks advice and solace from someone she's never met--the faceless "Sir", with whom she connected on a blind dating app where matches get to know each other through messages and common interests before exchanging real names or photos.
But although Gracie finds herself slowly falling for Sir online, she has no idea she's already met him in real life ... and they can't stand each other.

Made my heart happy. This is a wonderful romance using that great spin of a couple meeting in two ways but they don’t know it. Lady and Sir meet on a dating app that uses conversation to get to know each other without images. Lady is looking for a relationship but Sir was signed up by a friend yet they find a wonderful connection and enjoy chatting with each other. Gracie is working very hard to keep her parent’s dream alive for their champagne shop. She bumps into Sebastian one day only to learn that he is from the company that wants to buy and close her shop. Even though she feels an amazing connection to him on that first meeting, she works hard to hate him as she fights to make the store profitable. I had fun with all the coincidences and unexpected moments as we as the reader know what is going on while the characters don’t. For Gracie, she has put her dreams on hold so this journey allows her to reevaluate what she wants as she reconnects with her siblings to save the store. Sebastian becomes a great confidant and listener, someone outside her normal circle that is able to be objective and supportive in a way she never expected. Truly, it just made me smile. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

T Gephart is a USA Today and International bestselling author from Melbourne, Australia.
With an approach to life that is somewhat unconventional, she prefers to fly by the seat of her pants rather than adhere to some rigid roadmap. Her lack of "plan" has resulted in a rather interesting and eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history. She'd tell you all about it, but the statute of limitations hasn't expired yet. But all those crazy twists and turns have led her to a career she loves--writing romantic comedy.
When she isn't filling pages with sassy and sexy characters with attitude, she's living her own reality show in the 'burbs of Melbourne with her American husband, two teenage children, and her fur child--Woodley.
She loves adventure, to laugh, travel, and strives to live her life to the fullest.
I love how Rae and Harrison balance each other. Both have demons from their past that shape how they approach their life. For Harrison, it’s being better than Mischa in business but the one club he wants, La Mer, is being held hostage. As he works to prove his parent’s innocence, he begins to build a new club in LA. For Rae, one moment in high school has shaped how she approaches people and life, it gave her music but also caused her to hide behind a persona. She has her sights set on being at West Fest so she is pulling out all the stops to get the fan vote. The crazy thing is both of them avoid relationships but find that they can’t stay away from each other. The more they allow their passions to bring them together, they find that honesty and trust emerge. It was incredible when Rae finally let Harrison in and revealed her deepest, darkest secret. But as they move forward as a couple, will their demons and goals keep them apart. Oh wow, I am so excited for part 3 of this journey. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Lies, Deceit, Vengeance, Desire, and Hate…wrapped up in a façade of all that sparkles and shines.
A pretty face, a fetching smile, a fabulous gown, a flutter of lashes at just the right moment – Miriam had been taught she must do all these things to land a wealthy husband. Much preferring the company of books to people, the only thing that stopped Miriam from fleeing to the countryside was her younger sister - who was counting on Miriam to make a match that would ensure she could care for her mother and sister properly.
He knew his duty to his title and he would do as was necessary.
Although Hugh Compton, Earl of Ashington, hadn’t wanted his father’s title at the age of nine and twenty, he gained it two years ago when his father died unexpectedly. The only good that had come of that was Hugh had been able to move his father’s wife to the dowager house.
Now it was time to marry.
Many disliked the arrogant Earl of Ashington but none so much as his brother.
After his mother was sent off as if she were trash to be disposed of, Nathaniel swore he’d even the score. With the intent of charming the boring Lydia Ramsbury right out of his brother’s arms, Nathaniel discovered it was a new face that had captured his brother's attention - a one Miss Miriam Bathurst.
I enjoyed my trip to regency England with Miriam, Ashington and Nicholas. For Miriam, her father’s death has left the family in financial ruin so it falls to her to secure a husband to provide for her mother and sister. The true driving force for Miriam is her sister Whitney, the one person that has brought light and love to her life, something she didn’t get from her parents. Being in London with her uncle and aunt is refreshing for Miriam even though she doesn’t enjoy the trappings of the ‘season’ she must endure. Her Aunt Harriet is a breath of fresh air from America so she doesn’t know all the rules that society dictates and boldly does what she wants. I love that Miriam stays true to herself within society’s structure which is what opens the door to a relationship with the Earl of Ashington. Ashington has taken on his role of Earl out of duty but didn’t expect to be a father so quickly. When Emma was delivered to his doorstep, he knew he wouldn’t turn her away but now finds he needs a wife to be the countess and a mother rather quickly. This pursuit opens a door for his half-brother, Nicholas, to pursue his revenge on his brother for how he treated his mother. Of the tangled webs that British society weaves. As these two gentlemen work the season, one for a wife and the other for revenge, Miriam finds herself caught in the middle. The moments with Ashington and Emma are a true joy as he navigates fatherhood with a 4-year-old that is sneaky and smart. I do wish there would have been more to Miriam, revealing her true dreams that she was giving up. There is a hint in the epilogue but it isn’t something we as the readers truly understood and knew about which would have added depth to what I knew and felt for Miriam. Overall, I enjoyed this story and was captivated by the journey Miriam takes out of family obligation. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
“Stop giggling. You sound ridiculous,” the older of the two girls said.
“You’re just sour Lord Ashington didn’t attend,” the younger girl replied.
“The night is young yet,” the mother added, as if this was, in fact, the issue the eldest daughter was having.
“Even if he does arrive, he will seek out Lydia Ramsbury. Everyone knows he has called on her and taken her for a ride in the park this week. I even heard she went to the opera with him and sat in his box.” The youngest girl seemed to be enjoying herself.
I wanted to roll my eyes, but then I was the one eavesdropping on a conversation that wasn’t mine to listen to. I should be rolling my eyes at myself.
“Nothing is certain,” the mother said with a tone that made me shiver slightly.
“Lydia Ramsbury would make a perfect countess,” the older girl said grudgingly.
“As would you,” the mother said.
It had been obvious that Lord Ashington had been interested in Lydia Ramsbury at the last ball. The next morning, his visit to me had been surprising. His abrupt departure had not been. Not that any of this mattered. I was not interested in the affairs of Lord Ashington. Not in the least. He would make a most difficult husband.
Feeling as if I were a lurker in their conversation, I took one last deep inhale of the lovely fragrance before turning to go back into the ballroom. Just as I stepped inside, I scanned the room for Aunt Harriet, but my gaze locked on Mr. Nicholas Compton. He was here and he was dancing… with Lydia Ramsbury.
Disappointment stung and I truly hated to admit it. When just a few days ago I was sure I didn’t care for him at all. Yet he was here and he wasn’t just dancing with anyone. He was dancing with the girl his brother had spent the most time with this week. I wasn’t naïve and I understood completely what was happening. Which was why the sting of disappointment.
Reality was something I had learned to face at a young age and I knew now that the brief attention I had received from him had nothing to do with me at all but with his brother. Mr. Compton was indeed playing a game. A vicious hurtful one meant not only to affect his brother but others along the way. I had thick skin and a blow such as that wouldn’t wound me the way it would others. Sheltered girls who had lived easy lives with security wouldn’t survive such a scandal.
It was in that moment, I decided I truly hated Nicholas Compton. He wasn’t interesting but spiteful and cold. I truly hoped Lydia Ramsbury was smart and didn’t fall for his charming smile and attractive face. There was something I disliked more than arrogance and it was cruelty.
Abbi Glines is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and International bestselling author of the Rosemary Beach, Sea Breeze, Vincent Boys, Boys South of the Mason Dixon, and The Field Party Series. She is also the author of the Sweet Trilogy and the Black Souls Trilogy. She believes in ghosts and has a habit of asking people if their house is haunted before she goes in it. Her house was built in 1820 and she’s yet to find a ghost in it but she’s still looking. She drinks afternoon tea because she wants to be British but alas she was born in Alabama although she now lives in New England (which makes her feel a little closer to the British). When asked how many books she has written she has to stop and count on her fingers. When she’s not locked away writing, she is entertaining her preschooler, she is reading (if the preschooler will leave her alone long enough), shopping online (major Amazon Prime addiction), running because she eats too many tacos, and planning her next Disney World vacation.
You can connect with Abbi online in several different ways. She uses social media to procrastinate.
