I had fun reading this book. From the moment Scarlett has to stand her ground and walk away from her cheating fiancé, I was hooked. She decides that she will still enjoy the reception and asks the singer, Killian, to sing to her. What she doesn’t expect is for him to rescue her and sweep her away from her wedding disaster. But then he leaves. A year later and she needs to attend her sister’s wedding to her ex-fiance, oh the family drama. What are the odds that Killian will be at the same wedding to perform? There is one problem, everyone thinks Scarlett and Killian are engaged. Let the fun begin. I had several surprises in this story that kept me guessing and never knowing what would happen next. Scarlett and Killian both carry scars from past hurts due to failed relationships so will they really take a chance on each other? Dive in to find out. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Perfect Enemy by M. Robinson

I struggled to connect with Jace. He really was a jerk to Cove and even when he started to show that he may like her, his behavior and attitude toward her was really horrible. Cove is incredibly strong and found a great support system with the Beckham family, something her own parents didn’t give her. She looked up to Jace and had a crush at 8 years old which he crushed. When he kidnaps her to keep her safe, who is really after her? This is a weird situation as they pretend to be married and he puts her in some odd situations which didn’t make sense all the time. Learning what he had been doing for 10 years is a shock and didn’t really help my connection to him, if anything it made me dislike him more. There are some great moments between them and the end has high drama and intensity. For some readers, they will love this story but it didn’t work me. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
