Chloe and Sam became best friends in high school, but college pushed them apart. For Chloe, Sam always saw the real her and appreciated her weirdness until he didn’t which broke her heart. She is now a successful author with a popular TV show based on her books. Needing to finish her next book, she decides to return home to Silver Ridge for inspiration. Running into Sam wasn’t on her agenda. Sam regrets the night that he let Chloe down. It’s been 10 years and maybe this is his chance to restore their friendship. I loved how this relationship was built. There is fear and anxiety after what happened in college, so Chloe needs to be willing to forgive while Sam needs to trust how he feels. Will they realize that love was in the future all along? Of course, I wasn’t prepared for the cliffhanger ending but it’s awesome and now we get more of their story. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
