New Release & Review: Clarity by Nicole Dykes

Release Date: November 12

Rhys
I’m an addict.
I’ve been abused, and I’ve been the abuser.
My entire life has been a blur, filled with misery and anguish.
I’m trying my best to stay clean and lucid even when my world feels dark.
Now, I have to stay away from the woman who makes everything murky and complicated.

Blair
I’ve always been a toy for others to use.
A spoiled, broken girl who’s never been seen because no one ever tried.
He sees me though. Holding up a mirror and showing me exactly who I am with absolute clarity.
Is that a good thing?
I’m not sure.

My Review:
ClarityClarity by Nicole Dykes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emotionally stunning. Rhys is a survivor of the foster system and he has found a way forward from a horrific situation but he keeps all of his pain to himself. Blair is the rich kid that just wanted her father’s attention. Together, they connect through raw sex that seems to feed something for both of them until Blair wants more. Rhys runs. Then one day, Bree shows up in his shop and asks for help. He recognizes another kid from the system and knows he needs to help. The road for Rhys and Blair as they work together as a formidable team to provide a home for Bree is fabulous. This story is raw, emotional, gut-wrenching, hopeful, uplifting, a true gem. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
