Sienna and Ben are both at a crossroads, each having been thrown huge curve balls in their lives. For Sienna, it’s a cheating ex-boyfriend. For Ben, it’s the return of his ex with his daughter that he knew nothing about. In Ben’s world, his focus is on football and getting his degree while he constantly battles his fears of losing the people he loves. I appreciated his vulnerability and the challenge he has coping with his fears as these would engulf him like a giant wave. Sienna is working hard to build a life and find her career away from her family. Her father doesn’t seem to see her, just what she should do for his business. When Ben needs help with his daughter, Sienna steps up with a smile. I enjoyed her approach to life and how she always kept a positive attitude. As these two realize that they feel more than friendship, they have to contend with a conniving ex that only cares about herself and not Ben’s future or their daughters. I found myself pulled in as this crazy journey unfolded as several surprises happened along the way. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
