I enjoyed this best friend’s brother and fake marriage romance. Kane impressed me with his willingness to help someone in need. When his sister’s best friend needs a safe place to escape to, she sends Emmersyn to Kane. What Kane doesn’t expect is that Emmersyn needs a husband to protect herself from a crazy ex-fiancé and to secure her trust fund. He was married once and carries guilt for that falling apart so he never plans to marry again. Well, unless it’s a fake marriage. Emmersyn is shocked when she finds out that her fiance has been cheating on her. She’s had a crush on Kane for years but living with him and truly getting to know allows her to appreciate what a great man he is. Will she be able to keep her feelings out of their plan? I love how this relationship evolved as they tackled Emmersyn’s issues while Kane faced his fears about love and relationships.
