I love Lix’s story and how this concludes the Daxon brother’s journey. The Daxon brother’s banded together to work with a Domestic Abuse Center to help women that don’t know where to turn to get help to get out of a bad situation. They do this because of what they experienced in their own lives as children when they wished their mom had someone to reach out to. For Lix, a new woman shows up, Chosen, which they link is about the help they provide but she’s only interested in Lix. For Chosen, she is in search of answers relating to her uncle’s death which she believes Lix holds. As Lix and Chosen get to know each other, they find that fate has played a hand in bringing them together. But Lix doesn’t see himself as someone who can love or be loved so Chosen has a challenge on her hands to help him realize he is worthy of love. There are so many great twists to this story and I love the premise and mission that the Daxon brothers have taken on. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
