Cole is the charmer and on his trip to Italy, he reaches out to a family friend for sightseeing tips. Laney is passionate about being a doctor but 2 years ago, her personal life shattered when her husband suddenly died. She agrees to meet Cole and is surprised at the easy camaraderie and connection she has with him. They agree to keep their Rome adventure in Rome but when Cole is back in New York, he finds he can’t stop thinking about Laney. Now, this is very unusual for him, he hasn’t seen himself as a commitment guy. I had fun with this couple. They each have to overcome issues that could keep them apart but they become each other’s cheerleaders and support to navigate this next adventure. The Winchester family is a wonderful support system for Cole and they embrace Laney, making her feel wanted which is a boost she needs. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
