I love how Rae and Harrison balance each other. Both have demons from their past that shape how they approach their life. For Harrison, it’s being better than Mischa in business but the one club he wants, La Mer, is being held hostage. As he works to prove his parent’s innocence, he begins to build a new club in LA. For Rae, one moment in high school has shaped how she approaches people and life, it gave her music but also caused her to hide behind a persona. She has her sights set on being at West Fest so she is pulling out all the stops to get the fan vote. The crazy thing is both of them avoid relationships but find that they can’t stay away from each other. The more they allow their passions to bring them together, they find that honesty and trust emerge. It was incredible when Rae finally let Harrison in and revealed her deepest, darkest secret. But as they move forward as a couple, will their demons and goals keep them apart. Oh wow, I am so excited for part 3 of this journey. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
