Jax and Sophie found a forbidden love as kids. For Jax, his life is all about football, it became the way he could break free from his father’s controlling ways. When Sophie moved in with her mom, their housekeeper, he found love which is unexpected and scares him. Sophie is shocked when Jax pays attention to her and enjoys hanging out with her. They share a passion for reading along with the quiet moments they can spend together. But life isn’t easy and they get pushed away from each other which broke Sophie’s heart. Jax is at the top of his game in professional football until a scandal threatens his career. To fix it, his publicity team believes a fake wife is required but the only person he’s ever truly dated was Sophie. Getting a second chance with Sophie is something Jax never expected to have but deep down, truly desires. Sophie has built a very successful career as an author and has kept a huge secret from Jax. Will Sophie agree to a fake marriage? Can this fake marriage turn into something real? Or is there too much hurt to overcome?
