Ryann and Alix have one of those incredible one-night hook-ups with an amazing connection until Ryann finds out that Alix plays hockey for the team her father coaches. For Ryann, her father Vik hasn’t really been a great dad so anyone connected to him is a hard pass. But when Vik reaches out with a job opportunity, it’s hard for her to pass up this chance even though she will also be seeing Alix all the time. Alix can’t believe Ryann threw him out so when she shows up at the practice arena, he’s not going to let her walk away again. But convincing her to be more than friends proves to be a challenge. I enjoyed how this relationship evolved as they navigated the challenges each had to face from family and work. I appreciated how they really got to know each other and became good friends. There is a naturalness to their connection along with the off the charts sexy chemistry. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
