My Review:
Star Bright (Bright Young Things Book 1)Star Bright by Staci Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Levi is driven to dig for the hidden stories. He sets his sights on the Bright Young Things parties, wanting to uncover who Cecelia Beaton is that plans these exclusive events. When he finally gets to his first party, he is blown away by Stella. He knows he has a job to do but Stella has captivated him in a way he never expected. Stella loves BYT parties, dressing up in the theme and enjoying time with her friends. Meeting Levi is unexpected and a breath of fresh air after having gone through a bad breakup. These two are a great combination but Levi has a huge secret, he is the reporter writing about the BYT events, what will happen when she finds out the truth? The BYT events are being targeted by Warren, the police commissioner, which seems out of place by the group. Finding out his purpose enhanced the drama of the story. The real beauty is the unique family Stella has around with her amazing friends, Zeke, Betty & Joss. I enjoyed how this story built with the trust issues that both Stella and Levi have to overcome as they found a passion neither expected. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
