Sometimes a good life is not enough…

Shay Adler and her husband, Cam, run the Brew Love Coffee Company on Liars Island. A gorgeous couple with sunshine smiles and a perfect marriage.

But behind Shay’s smile lies unrest. She loves the husband she met in high school, but sometimes she feels trapped. Trapped by the island, trapped by her marriage and providing stability to her younger sister, and trapped by the whole ‘good’ ethos that underpins their company.

The tourists provide a distraction. They come, stay a short while, and leave again, and that leaves Shay with opportunities. Ones where she doesn’t have to be such a good girl.

But on Liars Island you can trust no one... so Shay’s betrayal might not stay secret for long.

Welcome to Liars Island… a stand-alone series of interconnected domestic thrillers set in the picture-perfect community of Liars Island. Here, nothing is quite as it seems.

On this island, families and friendships are more than meets the eye … secrets, deceptions, and jealousies threaten to ruin everything these influential people have built. But it isn’t only the rich that live here … and power comes in all shapes and sizes.

Everyone here is a liar … just how far would you go to get what you want?

My Review:

Betrayal Bend: A Liars Island Suspense by Andrea M. Long
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Liars Island is an idyllic community. Shay and Cam settled here for the quieter lifestyle. They opened a coffee shop that is a hub in the community. But Shay has a secret. Every year, her thoughts are dark and twisted as she struggles with her grip on life as she struggles with the loss of her mother. There is real fear that she is like her parents, not knowing which one she is more like and dreading being like either. Cam is the supportive and loving husband but some days, that is almost suffocating to Shay. How will she handle these conflicting emotions? Is their marriage really happy? I loved this unexpected and beautifully twisted journey. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
