Fabulous second chance romance full of passion, drama and suspense. Maddie and Deke fell in love in high school but Deke knew Maddie needed to follow her true passion and made the hard choice to push her away. But deep down, neither one stopped loving the other. When Maddie finds herself questioning her bosses’ true motives, she seeks out Deke to help her. Deke is shocked when Maddie shows up on his doorstep but knows he will do whatever he can to help her and maybe he can win back the only woman he’s truly loved. The family at McKay-Taggart are right there to assist Deke and Maddie as they work to unravel the mystery she has stumbled into. I love how these two reconnected. There are several surprises along the way that kept me guessing and needing to know how this journey would end. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
